GOLF TIPS: WIN POWER

One of the greatest pleasures of golf is to see the ball from 200 to 250 meters without it deviating to the left or right. You will find below tips to gain power and increase your distance.

Play with the bar for more power

If you want to gain power, imagine a pipe coming out of the ground at your ball when you are at it. Your goal is to bring the left shoulder (right handed) behind the vertical bar, and then behind your ball (as shown in photo) without moving the hips. Then transfer the right shoulder before the bar during the downswing. If you perform this exercise correctly, your weight transfer will be much more efficient and your ball will gain in length.

Hit the ball flat

Take the example of tennis: players who hit the ball with plenty of effects like Fabrice Santoro and Juan Carlos Ferrero have less power than those who hit for the dish as Andre Agassi, Jim Courier and Marat Safin. It is the same in golf, except that the effect given to the ball (slice and hook) tend to put the ball off the field and inside. You must hit the ball with the club to flat impact, in a position called "square" for maximum distance and accuracy. A technique for sure to get good square at impact is to verify that the club is at the top of the backswing. Here's an exercise that allows you to put this out: put your hands in front of the head making sure to have a good grip of course, then turn left shoulders up while remaining perpendicular to the ground. Reach the top of the backswing, observe a moment on the position of your hands and your club which are in the square position . By exercising this regularly, you will remember the position to be at the top of the backswing when you play on the course.

Stabilize your left knee

Powerful players come out to differentiate between shoulder rotation and hip rotation. As the shoulders turn a lot during the backswing, the hips should run a minimum. C, at the time of the descent of the Titleist golf clubs, solicited hips to come into, not when climbing (backswing). The hip action is linked to the movement of the knees. When the knee breaks or collapses inward, the hips turn too which makes an impossible good run. To improve yourself, make sure that the left knee (for right) is very stable throughout the swing , particularly in terms of the backswing. You will preserve the distance between your knees and ensure your rotations are synchronized.

Rotation for more power

Let's recap a bit: the key to increasing the distance of your shot is to minimize movement (or rotation) of the hips and maximize the movement (or rotation) of the shoulders . The best way to achieve this is to ensure that the left knee does not bend when climbing (backswing). Also, force yourself to move your left shoulder behind the ball to maximize your distance at most. You now have at hand the information needed to gain distance.
